Biul. Magnezol. 2001, 6(1): 72-79 THE EFFECT OF SULPHUR FERTILISATION ON THE CONTENT OF SOME FATTY ACIDS IN OILSEED RAPE SEEDSKey words: spring rape, sulphur fertilisation, palmitic acid, oleic acid. Summary The objective of the study was to evaluate the effects of fertilisation with elementary or ionic sulphur applied to soil or on leaves at the rates of 20 and 60 kg ? ha" 1 on the content of oleic and palmitic acids in seeds of spring rape cv. Star. Sulphur fertilisation proved to limit the synthesis of the fatty acids studied. A negative effect of sulphur was modified by the weather conditions. Both sulphur fertilisation and weather conditions had a bigger impact on the palmitic acid than on the oleic acid content. |
